IDF Soldiers Discover Weapons Cache under Child’s Bed in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces announced on Thursday that soldiers operating in Gaza City had uncovered a cache of weapons hidden under children's beds in a building associated with a senior Hamas operative.

Additionally, the 401st Brigade discovered long-range rockets, launch shafts, and four tunnel shafts of significant depth in the Jabalia area of Gaza. These tunnel shafts, linked to the electrical network, converged at a central tunnel shaft situated in a building connected to a senior Hamas operative.

Furthermore, a substantial quantity of weapons was found in numerous bedrooms and beneath children's beds in a building linked to another senior Hamas figure.

Eylon Levy, an Israeli government spokesman, has gained attention for his surprised reaction to a media question regarding the perceived value of Palestinian versus Israeli lives in light of an expected prisoner swap with Hamas.

During an interview with Sky News' Kay Burley, Levy's astonishment was evident as Burley suggested that Israel's agreement to release 150 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 50 hostages taken by Hamas implied a discrepancy in the value placed on Palestinian lives.
